Default h22 swap without suspension

Would my 99 civic ex be alright with an h22a swap without upgrading the suspension right away? i know the handling will be rough, but i'm only really concerned about dragging in a straight line. Or should i just updrage my suspension first to be safe?

i would upgrade the suspension first. you wouldn't want to break axles.

also, you'd want to upgrade the brakes, as well

are you sure you want an h22 in your civic? it is a really cramped swap a kid i know has it in this car he just bought and there is little room for the engine to move around in there. but if you really want to do it go for suspension, brakes , and stcky tires cause if you dont have good tires you'll just spin em all the time

if i go with ground control suspension, should the spring rate be 400lbs in the front and 300lbs in the rear?
