Default Apex World Sport Muffler

I found a local guy that will sell me his World Sport muffler for $100 bucks. Its been used for about 2000 miles and has a could scratches on it. Ive heard the sound of the WS is very deep and nice. Ive got the N1 right now, and its way too loud. The only problem is that the inlet on the muffler is 3". Ive got 2.25 piping.

Pretty much my question is, how will this sound and is it a good or bad idea to get a 3" inlet muffler with 2.25 piping?

If it doesn't fit, you can always go to a muffler shop and have them weld an adapter
