Default Civic vs. WRX?

Whatcha guys think... I'm just curious. My boy just bought a 2004 WRX. ALl he has done to it so far is an aftermarket blow off valve. I have a EX Civic with a JDM b18c motor, lsd tranny, thermal exhaust and aem short ram intake, plus suspension, etc. A/C is gone too... I know its like 227 bhp AWD vs. my guess about 185-190 bhp, possibly a bit more. I'm wondering about the weight difference and if I stand a chance. He can't drive worth shit either. I know its AWD, but do you think I will beat him off the line? Or a better chance moving? Being that it takes time for the turbo to spool..... discuss

He won't completely slaughter you, but you aren't going to beat him...its not going to be a total blowout, but he'll win. Off the line, you won't touch him because of that AWD. You're best bet would be from a roll

well.. stock WRX's run low 14's, and stock GSR's run low 15's.. so, he'll beat you, given that you're both around the same skill level.. i don't think that the your LSD, bolt-ons, and car's weight loss can make up for the full second deficit.. unless the WRX guy really can't drive.. you'll definately have a better chance w/ a rolling start

He will spank you. Then when he learns to drive he will spank you even harder. My buddy has one with a couple of upgrades, XS engineering 350HP upgrade kit, XS intercooler, Aussie down pipe, exhaust, etc. and he kills me off the line but I still spank him by a few lengths in the end. His car just runs out of steam up top. He runs like a 13.6 but he's a great driver. His car is the reason my next car will be an STI or WRX depending on how bad the gouge when the STI arrives.
