Default shocks

i need new shocks, and i figured i might as well get aftermarket ones while i'm at it. Any suggestions for reliable ones that are affordable?

~$340 for agx's. Might as well put some springs on at the same time (neuspeeds go for ~$140 new)

first question is...what kind of performance are you looking for in a strut.

on my girls ride, i put in some gr2s, and on the other hand i have agx, while i love the adjustablity of the agx, they dont ride as smooth as the gr2s..and my girls car is a little lower than i am.

get the gr-2's or tokico blues if you're NOT planning on lowering your car... these were meant as a replacement of stock shocks... if you're lowering ur car, hold out for the koni sp3's which have the shorter shock casing... oh, and if you want the best ride on stock springs, pick up a set of bilstein's (bout $400 online)... they're awesome

If you plan to lower the car 1.3-1.5 go with KYB AGX. They run about 350 for the set.

If you plan to go 1.8 or lower, go with Koni Sport Yellow. Those run about 450-500.

If you want to do it right, spend a little extra and do a full coilover setup such as Tein. Their BASIC system runs at 600-900 and performance SS system at around 800-1000.
