please help. power window/locks into my dx
okay..i put 99 si doors on my 97 civic dx. All i could figure out so far is the speaker wires on both sides 
. Also i found out the power windows wires. the passenger wires where blue w/ yellow stripe and blue w/orange stripe that are ground, and green w/black stripe that is power. So I ran wires across from the passenger to the driver and plugged it in the driver door which is the same color. Can someone help me figure out the other wires. I'm working on the power locks right now. I heard i needed relays. where do i buy them, and what are the ratings on the relays i need. also how do i hook up the mirrors?..please help. my car been sitting stiff for 1 month because of this.

Do you have a manual? haynes, factory service manual? either or? if so, you will be able to work off the wiring diagrams. whether you do or don't, i might be able to walk you through it. gonna be like a blind man describing an elephant to another blind man....it CAN be done, it'll just take a while.

got your IM. that's my standard away message, so don't take offense to it, everyone gets that. not exactly sure how we're gonna approach this, but it CAN be done. i'll bring in my manual from the car tomorrow and see what i can find in it.

ok, this is stuff i need to know before proceeding any further. Do you have power to anything yet? i'm assuming the problem is that you don't have power to anything and are trying to get it. hooking everything else up is pretty easy. on the driver's side power window control, you'll have a set of wires that'll activate the passenger's window as well. All it is on the driver's side is another way to apply power to the window motor to make it work. the way it could be set up (i don't know and can't see what you have) is you have a constant power wire to the window motors and then have a relay wire, which sends a small amount of voltage to tell the motor to work. Same way a car stereo works, constant power wire and when you turn the key on, a small voltage tells it to start sucking juice and work.
anyway, i'm at a stopping point for right now until i know what you've got and exactly where you're at. if you have a digital camera, i'll tell you what i need pics of when i know where you're at on this install.
