1. Under $4k? Probably not....
2. Yes, it you run too much boost. Tuning is definitely required. You can't just throw a turbo on and hit 10psi, you have to test your limits.

What type of resistor? All DSM turbo's came with 550's? I must look into this. Will I use my B16A harness and modify it or do they come with the harness and clip? Thanks for the info man.

You can use the resistor boxes that came on older Honda's [CRX's??] that used them and just hook them up. Or, you can buy the individual resistors from Radio Shack. I'll try and get the ohm rating for you.

there isn't necessary a best setup, if you can it's always better to go custom turbo kit that way you can taylor it to your needs, like me for example i'll want a fast spooling turbo and i'm willing to give up some power for a faster spool, this is because i auto-x and care nothing about drag racing, but the people that like to drag race would like a slower spooling but bigger boost creating turbo, and the daily driver probably wants something in the middle (probably leaning more towards the fast spooling turbo), so it's best to build your own turbo kit if you can (i have a guy locally that i'm friends with that does it all the time for hondas and nissans) that way you can taylor it to your needs and wants
