What headers?
With a b16 I/H/E is a good start for the aftermarket. But on a SOHC it really is pointless. Save you money for suspension where you can really make a huge difference in performance. shocks/springs, sways, STB, etc. All the guys running around w/ I/H/E on their SOHC are just making a lot of noise and not much else
Well that's the thing... plans for this summer are I/H/E, Skunk2 c/o's, finish interior, and maybe a few more bolt ons. I just got done dropping 6 grand into it though... so I'm now planning how to spend my June's salary.

LOL. :werd:
It would be the perfect match to a $200 intake tho.
DC Sports JDM design header. Cheaper than the OEM JDM, header...same design..and readily availible.
*edit* ...sorry..didnt see you had an EX. Go with a 4-1 design DC header.

When I had I/H/E and 143lbs of weight reduction
it was a huge difference compared to stock but now that I'm turbo even at the stock setting it makes me realize how silly and slow even a bolton EX is. I got beat by a nissan 4x4 stock, after all the bolton's I was a minivan walking mofo
except for the 3.8liter windstars they would have pulled on me.

i always understood 4-1 headers are better for turbo'd or supercharged, etc and 4-2-1 for naturally asperated (sp?)
as far as the dc sports header goes,
anyone else seem to lose a good amount miles per gallon after having them installed? a friend of mine had them removed because he could barely hit 150 miles on a full tank of gas.

as for 4-1 being better for sc, i've heard the best header for the jrsc is the kamikaze 4-1

I know this post is a little old. But does a Kamikaze header really make more power than a comparable DC sports header?
From WWW.importparts.com they say
They are as cheap if not cheaper than DC sports and I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen a dyno that confirms this?
From WWW.importparts.com they say
Kamikaze headers offer the most power from any header available. With their unique vehicle-specific designs, Kamikaze headers make 4-5 more horsepower than DC Sports headers.
