My car was "KEYED"
When I woke up yesterday morning my car was keyed all along the drivers side straight to the tails with a nice swirl near the gas tank. Does this sound like something insurance should cover or is it not worth reporting?
Thanks guys!!

If you're like me, then you have full coverage and not many friends in the world of body shops. If you intend on getting it all cleaned up, report it as long as your deductable is low (i.e. 200). If you have a high deductable, get a quote from the body shop first. A 500 deductable could go either way but it sounds like they have a lot of body panels to fix. Good luck with all that. I hope everything works out for you.
Sorry to hear that man. They will most likely have to repaint those panels. Unless your paint is fairly new, you might as well paint the whole car. If you want a quality paint job you might as well claim it with your insurance. If you want just a paint job you'd be better off paying out of pocket.
Some insurance is really lax on vandalism so I hear, some have 0 deductable on it and some don't...I think that i all may be hearsay though.
Sorry about your car man, do you have any suspicion of who it is?

my insurance, USAA, deductable first on everything :-/
second day I had the car I got keyed/rear fender kicked. Estimates were about $500, and my deductable is $500, So i never did anything about it
someday though, someday

if i was you, i'd key the rest of my car, call insurance and get a full paint job, shave moldings (if you like that or not). take it to a shop that would hook you up with extra $$ or extra work. there's plenty of shops that will do that w/ insurances paying for it, at least here in ca there are.

It's not the right thing to do... but it's what I'd do. Hell, having a 500.00 deductible isn't right either. I say... you pay all that money every year and never make a claim... so I'd say key the rest of it... and get a high estimate and a low estimate... both of equal quality shops if ya can. Report the high estimate and get it done with the low one. Or as someone else said earlier.. grab some 1500 wet/dry sandpaper and go to town on them, then buff it out. Chances are if they're not too deep that they'll come out, unless you're down to a different colored primer. Good luck and keep us posted.
