Thought I would keep you updated on my autocrossing experiences.
Today was the Lancaster County Corvette Club autocross in Centerville, PA. It's held in a very small parking lot which is lots of fun for small cars, but I hear a pain to drive with a larger car (hint Corvettes).
So the event is only 2 minutes from my house and wake up to downpours - even though the weather said partly cloudy skies high around 65. Yeah right!
So I left my Azenis on, was deciding on the DOT R tires last night.
The course had two loops and two triangles basically a minute or so course. Course also had puddles and slick spots everywhere.
Fastest time of the day so far was a 64.xxx. On my first run out I flew through the finish line and looked at my time a 61.7
Everyone started pointing at me and laughing
Little 4 cylinder was FTD ... hehehehe Coupe of other guys were there: Mini Cooper S, Porsche Carrera, VW Golfs, Audi S4s, Scirroco, Miata. Basically we were in all in OPEN class while the Corvettes have their own classing system.
In the afternoon it started drying up I pulled out a 59.7, but nicked two cones - DOH! So my next fastest run was a 60.1 and got 2nd FTD

FTD is Fastest Time of the Day
I took some videos and will be posting them soon. Couldn't take any pics since it was raining and I didn't want my dig cam getting wet.
