Default 2002 Civic EX and already having problems

I really dont know where to post this question so hopefully someone can put me in the right direction. My girlfriend has a 2002 Civic EX and it already is having issues. About 10 months ago her car just stopped starting, it would just turn over and over and over and over ok get the point.Anyways Honda replaced the battery and immobilizer system and then it started without a problem. Well now 10 months later and she gets stranded in a parking lot with her brand new car???? So she goes to the dealer and since the car started up for them and the computer showed nothing they said that there isnt anything wrong with it. This is the second thing she has had happen with it. She also had a problem with the auto down function of her car. It only works 20 % of the time and since it worked the two times she took it to them, again they said nothing is wrong. So as she periodically gets stranded and rained on when the window decides not to work when it starts raining........THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. And she still owes 15000 on this thing? Has anyone ever had these problems and what was the cure?

Any help would be appreciated.

:dunno:

those are pretty minor problems, really. Your headgasket isn't leaking, is it

eh, look into taking it to another dealership. I am fortunate enough to have a honda dealership (one of 3 around here) that isn't run by crooks

does she have an oem keyless entry alarm, or an aftermarket alarm with starter kill? if she has an aftermarket. u might want to check the wiring to see if it's secure. cuz many places will use the splicer and sometimes it comes off. if she has an oem alarm, then i don't think that would cause the problem, but still have it check out. also, u might want to check the starter to see if all wires are secure, and check the ecu plug to see if everything there is secure as well.

as for the auto down problem it sounds like the motor there is a pulser that controls the auto down. when the car cranks does the immobleizer lite flash or does it go out this will help you figure out if its that system or if its something else. also how long did it take to start. If the immobleizer lite goes out try holding the gas pedal to the floor the car may be flooded.

I dont know, I just cant believe that Honda says there is nothing wrong when obviously there is. I guess Honda as a company is cheap and want to wait until the car is completely broken. I was just hoping that someone may have ran into the same problem and knew what the cause was?? Thanks for your help guys.

There is a recall on the ignition switches on those. Go to Alldata and print it out. Then take that printout to the dealer.

I think it is time to make a Lemon claim and have them buy the car back from your GF.
