I belive you want Nitrogen Oxide, not Nitrogen Dioxide. Nitrogen Dioxide is a highly reactive gas like Nitrogen Oxide, although I belive whenever it is mixed with Oxygen it reacts to form nitric acid which would probably eat away at the internals of your engine.
