Default valve adj

plannig to do a valve adjustment (B16) ina couple of weeks. should I use a honda factory head gasket or go for some other brand?

please list others:

You don't need to replace head gasket to do valve adjustment.

You should be able to reuse the valve cover seal unless it is torn.

You do need hondabond liquid gasket though... for a few places on the seal. Remember to check idle rpm and timing after the adjustment.

really, even though it's going to be 30K miles since the last adjustment? I'll prolly replace it anyways just to be on the safe side.

Dude.. wtf?? :eh:

Head gasket has NOTHING to do with valve adjustment. You only have to remove the valve cover to do the adjustment. If you think you need to, replace the valve cover seal and the spark plug seals (on the valve cover)... that's it.

I read that like 5 times I was so confused :loco:

sorry, i was using the wrong terminology
I'll replace the valve cover seal & spark plug seal :thumbup:
