Default Tachometer Wire 98 Civic

I'm in the middle of putting a remote start in my 98 civic EX. Everything is done except I can't get the thing to learn the tach. I've tried to get the tach wire at a number of different places. I don't know if I'm tapping the wrong wires, if I am doing something wrong with the alarm or what? If anyone knows the exact location of this wire I'd appreciate some help. The car is a 5spd if that matters and the alarm is a Prestige 996. Thanks.

I tapped right into the wire behind my gauge cluster. Didn't have to run a long wire that way.... I found it using the Haynes manual wiring diagram.
