2.5 to 4 inch drop????
I am looking for that slammed look. I want my drop to be very noticiable and to look good. I don't want coilovers---I want springs. I guess I'll be riding on 17x7's. I won't have rubbing issues if I have a 42-45 mm offset will I? I just want some suggestions for springs that will give me that "dumped" look. BTW, the roads here in N.C. are pretty good, so that's not a big problem.
BTW, does anyone know of any 5 star or split 5 rims in 17's for the civic? Just curious!

Coilovers are the way to go if you want that kind of a drop. The best that you could probably get for that kind of a drop is VIS' V-Spec coilovers.
How about a set of SubZeros in 17's? Those are 5 split spoke wheel...

you're going to have an unbelievably harsh ride. i was dropped 3-3.5" with my stock tires before going to 2-2.5" drop on 17s. i was getting a back massage wherever i drove, so i can't imagine what it was doing to the car and its rattle prone areas. you might want to reconsider such a drastic drop.
ps buy my rims! konig rush 17x7, seven double spokes

3in drop w/ 17in wheels...
Get 2.75in drop Neuspeed Race or something similar and cut one coil h:
~ and to those that will comment on this, its as functional as a coilover (raising lowering the placement load of the chassis on the top of the spring/strut ) Its not compareable to cutting the dinky stock springs.

why would you want or need your car that low? you couldn't even drive it on any normal streets. my car is lowered 1.9" in the front and 1.7" in the rear and i have to drive it like a little bitch on most of the roads around herebut other than that its fine

it's my D in a B
4" drop = retarded.
If you go that low, you'll soon realize just how inconvenient and detrimental to handling and ride it is. For that reason, you'd probably be best off with coilovers so you can drive slammed for a couple days, come to your senses, and raise the car back up to a reasonable height.
BTW, don't forget a camber kit.
