What is the Autolock? And how does it work? Also, what is the powerlock? And how does that work? I was also thinking about getting this alarm that has a pager system and a starter kill. Do you guys think that type of alarm will be good enough?

if someone really wants your car, no matter what you do to it, they can steal it. Any of those devices are just deterrants. That autolock is good, although I have heard of ways around it. Getting an alarm with a starter kill is essential. You probably also a secondary siren that is hidden in the car in case they disable the primary one.

any theft deterents do not prevent the theif from stealing your car,...it only delays them from stealing your car,...autolock is a device that hooks on to your clutch pedal so it can not be depressed,...and a alarm with a pager and start kill would be a wise choice

I totally agree with that statement.

You may also want to consider a Low-jack device. Others I know really like it. It's not an alarm, but more of a tracking device for after it's stolen. The only problem is, once you realize it's gone, the car has already been stripped.

Also, what kind of car is it or what are you protecting? If you just have a stock civic, what's the point with going with an expensive alarm? The thief is going to do more damage breaking into it more often then not.

whatever you get i'd be sure you have a kill switch... it might not work everytime but i've heard many stories of cars that were broken into but not stolen because of the switch

is the kill switch the thing you hook up to your battery?? So you can turn it on and off, but even that, wouldn't something have to stop the alternator from running?
