SOHC Question:
I'm putting together a d15b7 block with a z6 head. Do I need a z6/y8 tranny if I run an EX Ecu? I hear the d15's tranny are geared long as hell and ill lose so much low end power, but my gears will be alot longer. I'm going to be switching to a 75 shot jet also, so would it be a better with a longer geared tranny if it makes good low end power with the nitrous spray?

I have d15b7 engine also and I don't have the foggiest idea of what you're doing to your engine. This is my 1st honda and am trying to do what I can to get more whp. What will what you do add to your whp? How much will it cost? Can you kinda walk me through to help me understand? THNX.

Or just drop a turbo on it. With a turbo, you don't need VTEC, but it's NiCe!! And the EX tranny is great: 1st is long enough, 2nd is okay, and 3rd is REALLY long......that's where I do my raping on the road....
