Default Swap Questions

Ok, here's the deal. I was originally planing on swapin a b18b1 into my 94 civic hatch. I was checkin out some engines and i started lookin at the d16z6. i have a d15b8 in the hatch currently. everything stock. i know that the v-tec would have to be wired and the d16z6 ecu is needed too. but besides that, what else would i need. would i need to change the tranny? not quite sure what to do now......plz help. thanks

well, i was really wanting to go b18b1, but i am not too sure now. would the d16z6 match up with my current tranny, or would i need the tranny to a d16?

With a D15Y8 I'm gonna guess you have a CX...

Do you really want the same gearing you have now? I know I would want closer gears than what is in my car right now...

yeah, it's a cx. true on the ratios, but it can be done? so if i got the d16z6 tranny, it should all bolt right in with no probs then?
