arospeed doesnt make any of there own c/f parts..i have mirrors DISTRIBUTED by them...and they are awesome quality..but i wouldnt go as far as getting a hood from them....they are really crappy, and flimsy, and they fade to white.

Here is a page of some guy named "Jimmy" with a whole SLEW of mods including an Aero Gear hood:

http://webpages.charter.net/grass/Jimmy.htm

he includes Momo and some other premium stuff, so I'm guessing it's not TOO bad.

And here is their description of themselves:

"AEROGEAR, our top line product that has never been made by the other manufacturer in the market. Our skilful engineers use the best quality raw materials to manufacture the unique, high quality and stylish fiberglass auto accessories products. AEROGEAR is the symbol for best quality and the only trustable brand name for body kit products in the new era of the 21 century"

Sounds like they might be Japanese...what with the serious Engrish going on. And yes, the "skilful" typo is in the original text - I copied/pasted it from the original.

There's a guy (Buddified Civic) that's selling VIS CF hoods for a decent price. Might want to check the For Sale forum...

I reccomend VIS or Fiber Images, never heard anything about the brand that you are referring too.

thanks randomtask777

i recommend vis, because there quality is just as good as fiber images, but i guess the whole reason people buy fiber images hoods is cuz oh in a accident it wont get damaged, which is the biggest bs i've heard, ok fine if you getin a accident the hoods wont break, but you wont have a car to put that hood on, and it may not break but no guarantee that it wont get scratched up or some how bend, which in end would cause you having to get a new hood either way. So thats why i recommend ViS, because its cheaper, and even after a front end collision u would need a new hood. As far as aero gear goes, there better had metal hoods, dont go with them for cf's. peace man.
