Default this seems odd . . .(lighting)

i didnt know led's emitted that kind of light

are these just pretty little rice lights?

I doubt that will have much illumination, come on now, 4 LED's? I think it's more for show than functionality. I would like more information about those though.

actually...the LED's are very bright.

well i know they can be bright (raver friends with their photons i think they're called)

bikers use them on their heads at night. pretty intense light coming from 3 leds.

they make flashlights and stuff w/ LED's now, go to a local hiking store, there everywere and are perfect for camping and stuff

I can get white LEDs up to 10,000mcd (milli-candela), which is 10 candela. Now I think that HID setups are measured in Lumens.

a lumen is a measurment of luminous flux
whereas
a millicandela is a measurment of luminous intensity

Luminous flux is kinda like a measurment of total power

Luminous intensity is how the bright the light is perceived to be, this is dependant upon viewing angle, and size of the light source.

Unfortunately you can't compare the two, which I just figured out, well, not directly at least... =(

Bah, my excuse is that I'm only first year in my photonics major =p
