Default I'm back, but........

May get flamedh: .

I took a while off(but i did lurk a bit ).Now to where i may get flamed.

I'm planning on going ZC turbo in my '93 hatch .I just got a ZC cheap(really cheap;$400. canadian) and plan on building it for my Greddy kit.
Has anyone done a ZC in a 5th gen?Is it hard to wire?

Before you flame me here is my case;

1)I'm in Canada(Vancouver) and a stock B18B is @$2000 - $3000.
2)I'm going turbo(@15 - 20 psi)so i don't really care 'bout VTEC.
3)It's twin cam and more tune-able then building my Z6.
4) I can only think of 3 things right now but i think they good

Ay help,hint or ideas may help.

The only bad thing I see with the ZC is that it has no aftermarket support. You should be able to just run your stock wiring harness. But you'd have to get an obd1 to obd0 harness to run the right ecu. That or use a p06 with a piggy back unit.

As for the d16z6... Why not just build that, and turbo the piss out of it? That's what I'm doing! I'm going to be running a d15b7 head to lower the compression, use a d16a6 head gasket to lower it a little more, then I think I can run 9lbs or more with the right fuel delivery.

Check out http://pub34.ezboard.com/bhondadseries for a lot of D series info. It's a great board, with a lot of knowledge. I know there is also a board devoted to dohc ZC's. You might want to check some of the CRX and 4th gen boards to see what other people have acheived with them before commiting.

If you do go with the ZC, mad props to you for not following the road most taken!

Sleeper- Thanks. I hadn't found that sight .I'll check it out.

Bakeoff- I thought about doing my Z6(I am/was(?) pro- SOHC ) but have been given matching prices and hope twin cams will give more possiblities(sp).

I plan on keeping my Z6 so if things don't work out i can swap back and find a 4th gen for the ZC .Also we have 2nd hand word that the former owner (i'm buying it for a wrecker) MAY have installed pistons/rods :thumbup: .

The road less taken hides the best things (I hope ).
