Civic to 94 Integra GSR Dash Conversion

Civic to 94 Integra GSR Dash Conversion
I have a 93 Civic Hatchback with a 94 Integra GSR Dash conversion I'm working on. The back of the dash will not sit up against the window. There is about a 1 inch gap. Is it suppose to be like this?
Has anyone done this conversion? I still have to get the door panels done. I'd appreciate any help. I'm in cali. if anyone knows of a shop that has done this I'd appreciate it. TIA!!
