The reason a lot of people hate Hondas is simple - the Civic EX. Why do I say this? Because they are slow, yet so many people "tune" them. I drive an Si, and I have beaten so many of these guys it makes me sick. They think that just because it has VTEC, it must be fast. NOT!!! Come on, the ODYSSEY has VTEC!!! Big deal! It's only on one cam too... sound familiar? Some of these guys have the gall to put "Type R" or "Si" on their car. That is total crap. I only approve of that if you swap out the engine or do something really cool to make it fast. Please guys, if you want to have a Civic for the purposes of racing, get something that's actually meant for it, or at least make it as fast as a stock Si.:madfawk:

it hate all the posers in their si coupes thinking theyre the hottest shit in the world when any stock 1.8t golf/jetta/bug can whoop on them. i remember when the si coupe 1st came out and everyone who had one thought they were god. i dont like hondas b/c theyre all fwd (save the nsx and s2k) and their build quality isnt of the highest (toyota) standards

Because it's fast, for a 1.6. Just like an S2000 is fast for a 2.0 or the NSX is fast for a 3.2. A lot more than you'd expect to get out of such a small engine...

 

wait. you're bragging cause your SI(B16A2,160hp,DOHC) can beat a EX (D16-Z6/Y8(125/127hp,SOHC)

people hate hondas cause of people like you dude. braggin about the wrong thing. you're just as bad as a domestic racer beating an import with 4 more cylinders and 1 less cam and bragging about it, "so what if my V8 has 4.1L more displacement than your civic, i still beat you!!"
