Default B18 engine question

I know there is a 10hp difference in the engines between the B18B and the B18B1, but i was wondering if there is any difference in the way they are mounted. I have a 94 civic hatch and was gonna lay that bad mother in there. any help? thanks.

There is only one B18B motor. I think you are thinking of the B18A, and yes there is a difference in horsepower among other things.

hmm... isn't there a different motor between the 90-91 integra and the 92+ integra? unless i'm mistaken i thought the B18B was in the 90-91 and the B18B1 was in the 92+. possibly wrong tho. so i guess there is no mounting difference then? thanks anyways.

92-94=B18a (and pre 92 maybe 90)cable tranny
95-01or02=B18B(hydro tranny)
both have the same HP and torq. mounts r the same
diff. is in the injectors wire harness will work on both in the eg. need a cpu from a 92-94

The b18a1 was in 90-93 base tegs. Also that the 90-91 was obd0 and 92-93 were obd1. 94 up is the b18b. Also the only real differences is that the b18b has slightly more aggressive cams, better flowing head and better exhaust mani.

To elaborate on txhatch's post,

90-91 B18A1 = 130hp
92-93 B18A1 = 140hp
94-9? B18B1 = 142hp
9?-01 B18B1 = 140hp

I think the horsepwer drop occured in 96 with the introduction of the OBD-2 computer system, but I am not 100% sure. It is perhaps also better to say the B18A1 is from "non GS-R" 90-93 Integras, for the GS used it and was far from a base model. Also, from my understanding, the PR4 head castings are identical, but the cams and manifolds vary by year.

So a B18A1 is in the 91 Teg? So the B18A1 has the cable tranny? hmm...alright then. The civic uses a hydro tranny if i'm not mistaken, so i don't think ima jump on it. I'll let you guys know if i take it or not. Thanks.
