Default driving lights any good?

i'm currently considering some supplemental lighting systems for my civic (a little too sheisty to fork over 500 for an hid system)

hella has some kits and so does piaa. i was wondering if these were any good or worth it? anyone have any experience with them?

i get the feeling most people (cops) will confuse them for foglights and give me trouble so i'm concerned about legality issues also.

Since when were fog lights illegal?
If they are Yellow/White... they are fine.

PIAA & Hella are the only brands I would go with for aux lighting.

You could always opt for the OEM style fogs and then just upgrade to different bulbs. Cops can't argue if they came from the factory... :chuckles:

as far as i know, it's illegal to have foglights on when it isn't foggy. i've never heard of anyone getting pulled for it, but it's still a law. :dunno: and i have a friend that had piaa driving lights, and he's thinking about getting rid of them because they're just not good enough. i'll have to find out exactly why he doesn't like them anymore.

you can also try "Catz" lighting by FET.

Even though I have PIAA 1400 series (fog).
But, I once had Catz about 6 yrs ago on my old car. Only reason I don't have them now is that I could'nt find a dealer near in Tx.
Also. In my opinion the top makers are Piaa, Hella and FET.
