Damned MPG

I have a 98 EX sedan, and I am getting 20-23 mpg city driving. I have already run some fuel injector cleaner, and the spark slpugs were changed when I bought this car used late last year. What else should I try before taking it to the shop?

fuel filter? how's yer emissions?

Before they vought it from carmax, they ran a carfax report on it. It had recently failed emissions, and they did some basic maitainance on it so it would pass.

check o2 sensor, coolant temp sensor and make sure you have no sticky calipers - you can also try more ignition timing

You may have to take it to a dealer to fix what the previous owner did. Honda has a seven year 100K warranty on all emissions related componets if I remember correctly.
