Default Side Moldings Questions.

Me and kaizix were having a discussion.

On fifth generation Civics, were the side moldings all black? Or were body matched moldings a option in 95?

Also, would the sixth generation moldings fit on a 5th gen?

Last thing, for whoever has painted theirs, how is the paint sticking and how much did you pay or how did you do it?

TIA

The side mouldings for the 5th gens were always black, no matter what trim level and no option was offered. The 6th gens had it standard, but only on the EX/Si models.

I had mine color matched (back when I had mouldings) and they held up really well (about a year and a half til I got the car painted).

There are a lot of things that I see that don't make sense. That is one of them. I also see completely stock cars but for some strange reason they have clear corners (dealer is getting cheap and replacing it with inferior stuff). I've seen DX's with a stock power moonroof. I have friends with 95 EX's that don't have AC (I thought those come standard on EX's?).

I'm guessing that the car was probably involved in an accident and when the car got fixed, they didn't bother masking the mouldings.

Come on dood, you live in SoCal. Especially with the age of the 5th gen pushing 10 years, almost anything was done to a civic, stock looking or not.
