Default Need Help. Swaping 94 GSR into 92 civic DX

I am running into problems with my swap. I just swap a 94 gsr into my 92 civic dx. The fuel cuts off and I am not able to pass 2500 RPM. What could be wrong?

Please advise.

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me. It turned out being that the wirinig was bad going to my intake/ t/b sensors.

Check that out, it may be the problem.

shit... the same thing is happening to me. i'm not getting any cel's and this just happened recently. my motor was running fine right after i swapped it. and now when i try to give it some gas, it just bogs. i thought it was b/c i was running an unchipped p28 with my b16. then i got a new ecu, and it still doesnt rev up correctly.

westcoast: did u wind up rewiring? or did u just pick up a new harness??

I came across this problem with another GSR swap I did on a 5G hatch - it turned out to be the plugs inside the ECM had some bad connections. I ended up fixing this by cleaning the pins on the ECM connectors with some contact cleaner as well as the engine harness connections under the hood.

Thanx Westcoaststyle. I'm gonna check that out next weekend.
I bought my gsr engine for $2400 a month ago and it's just been sitting at my friends garage.....It's eating me up cause I can't ride my sh$t!!!

I also noticed that all the wires on the wire harness is tapped. I don't know crap about wire harness and I hate to drop more $$ into this swap.

If you have any other tips. Please fill me in. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

ok... i messed around with my timing and stuff.... it idles nice and smooth, and if i take off with barely any throttle, its fine. but once i apply the throttle, the motor bogs. could my fuel pump be bad?? i kno the stock d15 pump is weak.... but it was working b4. could the the fuel pump be on its way out??

did u buy a new water pump and new timing belt wen u did the swap. If not u shoulda its cheap and alot easier to fix wen u have the engine sitting on a crate. hopefully u did so. but i wish u luck the motor is soooooooo nice wen its workin. keep workin its worth it
