both are reliable, both are cheap to run, both are slow. the only way ur gonna have a fast civic or accord is to boost and/or swap.

 

you're thinking of engine size, it's restricted not power output

 

Hey i got a 94 civic ex coupe 5 spd. I beat my fair share of accords. Civics got more options..But Accords are fast. My boy gots a 94 accord ex (vtec) it ran a 10.06 in 1/8 mile. just on cold air and cam gear. But civics are more fun........but everyone gots one.

 

Hell you can always throw a b16b in a civic.

 

JGTC restricts output.. there is GT500 class and GT300...

 

sohc accords are not fast (cept v6 models h: )... i used to drive a 96 ex. not fast. unless u think 16.5 1/4 is fast.

 

yea man, its not like a civic is a family car...

 

i'm not sayin accords are the fastest........but i do know that a stock civic (94ex) runs 10.9-11.2 in the 1/8 opposed to an accord (94ex) that can run a 10.15-10.3....i don't know much but from what i've seen and heard that is what i know. the 94 accord Ex are that quickest of the sohc vtec 4 bangers.

 

cool, thanks for all of the information. I posted this same question on other forums and I got basically the same result was to go with the Accord, so that is what I think I am going to do, unless a Civc EX shows up in the newspaper by chance..
