I'm about to do a swap my 1995 d15(DX) head for a 1996 d16y8(EX) head. I was wondering which ECU do I need to get to do the wiring. Will any ECU from an civic EX car work as long as its from a 1995 and up. Or will I need to get an 96 ex ECU? Also will it matter if it was made for a manual or automatic car? I have an automatic btw.

 

you need an obd2 ecu.

 

i would think you would want one from an auto.
