Default Chassis Brace?!?!?

A while back in an issue of Sport Compact car there was a project MR2 with some sort of chassis brace. It came with one stock, but the aftermarket one they installed had two more connecting point for a total of four, with a bar connecting the two rods. Looks like a big H. The point of this was to stiffen the chassis a little. I believe the S2000 has something like this too, but I'm not sure. My question is can you make something like this for a civic or is there an aftermarket part like this? I'm actually looking for this for my del sol, but the platform is the same. The sol flexes too much, especially with the top off.

I've contacted a few custom hot rod shops but they all refuse to work on imports. I've contacted body shops, but they won't do anything to reinforce the chassis cause they don't want to interfere with any crumple zones or some shyt like that. I know there's got to be some kind of shop that'll do this. Will a machine shop make one you think?

they're called strut bars, you can buy them anywhere, from prices ranging from $15-200+ obviously you get what you pay for.

Hey ManInELCamino, remember me? CivicFerio? You may be a mod now, but I was here before you and I was answering your questions.

Well, I wanted something that goes UNDER the car, not across the shock towers and not connecting staight across the subframe either. This one should have 4 connecting points, not 2.

never seen anything more than a 2 point subframe bar

a full roll cage solves all chassis flexing:thumbup:
