Default new intake = low idle

puddle straw has the idle a lot lower than it just was. assuming this is normal. do i leave it as is or bring the idle up a little bit? its borderline stalling its so low.

yup... the same thing happened to me when i installed the AEM CAI. before my idle was at around 7-800 and now it is at 4-500. sometimes after reving hard and stop at signal lights... i see it idle at around 2-300. i think it should be normal... as long as ur engine doesn't start to choke. occasionally on hot days.. i did noticed that sometimes my engine is about to stall and i have to rev it just to wake it up. go figures~?

advance your timing
but its normal for when putting on a new mod for idle ot be different
hopefully you correctly reset your ecu and have all the lines plugged in

me too

my guess: more air flow, engine requires less idle??

my friend adjusted it till it ran a little higher, its fine now

yeah, it burns less fuel at idle because its not trying so hard.

There is an idle screw I think which you turn to raise the RPMs. But I read in the Chiltons that no matter what that is the ECU will control the RPMs to stop it from stalling.
