Default A girl needs help with her 95 Civic EX!!!

I got a question guys... I recently bought a 95 Civic EX 2 Dr. I'm to the point where I'm working on the interior of my car... now that the exterior is mostly done. I've been ripping apart my interior the past few days. Has anyone ever ripped out the interior carpeting and headliner? How bad is it to pull out... and reinstall a new piece of carpet ? Also, has anyone pulled apart the dash... disconnecting the pass. side airbag? How did you do it, and did it reconnect okay? :gorgeous: Let me know, as this project is pressed enough as it is with time. Thanks guys... Mindi

to take the carpet out, the fastest way is to make a slit where it wraps around the metal bracket for the console. Just slit it behind the console. Other than that, it's just taking out the seats, console, seat belt bolts and door sills. The head liner is a pain, but once you get all the window framing off, and the sun visors, it's not too tough. Just make sure you ahve a hand to help, cause it's easy to bend it and put a crease in it. You will need to peel the band from around the sunroof, and remove your dome light...
The passenger side airbag... I have no idea. Never had a car with one... The driver's side is cake. Let me know if you need help with that.

DONT PUT YOUR CARPET IN YOURSELF, you need a pro to do it. unless you are a pro, I tried to put a new piece in my car and it was so much harder then it seems....If you are going to do it yourself....Buy some like hmmmm whats it called....glue...stuff, and a carpet puller.....

Just take it to a interior place and have them do the carpet....or be like me and be out 150 bux

Hey HouseofKolorEX, I did my headliner about 2 weekends ago it’s not that hard. im doing the carpeting this weekend. Done that before 2 not that hard all you have to do is take your time. No on the dash, that is a pain in the a$$. If you don’t have allot of time don’t start it. Let some one other then your self do that. I have some pic.'s of my headliner that I did somewhere ill try and find them..

Good luck.
