u should of ask trirodslc about this, he has a how-to on this in which it covers very extensive sanding and preparation. :chuckles:

good work, should try flat black next time. gotta redo mines too.

That's ****ing sad...


Anyway, I used about 10 coats of clear coat on my old car and they never chipped again. It was one of those "try it and see" projects, and I should have done it on the new car since those chip all the time... Lame honda aluminum....

Flat black paint or primer works well too. I prefer non-glossy so I don't get blinded by glare.
