Default Working Side Lights in 96-98 civic coupe

Hi,

Im trying to find out how to cut power of to the working side lights on a 96-98 coupe so only my blinker will work when I need it to and not the working lights. (doing this because no working light color match the HIDs and it doesn't look to good at night). If someone could tell me where I could find a wire scheme or something it would be great. I looked at the plug and I think I saw 3 wires come out from it.

Thank You,

Adam

Just take the bulb out and cover one of the contacts on it (I don't know which one, but try one and if it isn't the right one, go cover the other one.)

I did this back in the day with electrical tape to get that "euro" blind corner look. Undid it because people couldn't see me from the side and that was dangerous.

if you're worried about the "HID's" (ie, hyperwhite bulbs) not matching your hyperwhite corners, get amber bulbs

I put sidemarks on my 95 coupe. Spliced the wire on the back of the bulb housing to work as a blinker and not a running light. Should be a black, red, and green wire off the back.
Red- Running light
Green- Blinker
Black- Ground
Cut the red to eliminate the running light, but i would not suggest it. You will get poped by the 5-0 on someting like this.
