Offset For 17" Rims
I have a 1997 Civic SI and the Eibach Pro kit is on it's way. Im pretty sure that it is rated for a 1.5" drop. I was just wondering what offset i would need for 17" rims. Im looking at the Konig Tantrums which are 40mm offset , just want to know if those should be fine without having any rubbing problems etc.
Thanks
Thanks
To play it safe you need a 17x7" rim with 42-44mm offset and 205/40x17" tires.

42 is probably the standard for our cars in that size.

All i can find for rims that i like is 40mm, like i said before i like the Tantrums and i also like the Motegi MR7's but they only come in 40 as well. Does anyone know of a rim that is similar in looks that will come in 42?
Thanks for replys so far guys.

40 should be fine.
Im running a 38 on my 15's on a 2.5 inch drop. I wish they came in 40...but Im doing fine so far.

99 civic ex with 17x7 konig tantrums with a 40mm offset. I am dropped 1.75-2 inches and had rubbing issues originally. I rolled my fenders and the rubbing issues are non existent now. perfect camber in front Slight negative camber in the rear
