Those look really good. Clearcoat would help them last longer. Most if not all folks that did this, griped that the paint faded over time and looked really nasty.

what might of happened is that they may have used waterbased paint, thats what happened to my friends tails. he used i think it was tamiya clear red model paint. the paint im using is made to endure the elements especially high heat and no fade.

not too shabby.

I painted some tails on my old accord I used to own. Wasn't happy with the results. But yours came out as good as my pre-fab red/clears.

what color is your ride?

i didnt do a clear coat but i did to an excellent job on it.. it did get pinkish and started chipping after about 6 months.. if you cant tell its paint and its a nice job then good for you :thumbup:
