1998 honda civic Air conditioner pulley nut removal.
Hello,
Ok what is the easiest way to get to the nut on the air conditioner pulley? Its nearly impossible to fit a socket with rachet on the nut and a boxed in wrench just to ackward to actually get it to stay on the nut and pull.. Another question is the nut still lefty loosey? Also is it safe to put a wrench between the pulley so when I turn the nut all the pulley and belts do not turn with it also? Please give me some input on this.. I tried to run the air conditioner without adjustment and now it seems it just squeals so I need to tighten before I can run it again.. Also do I need to remove the power steering pulley to make it easier to get to the air conditioner pulley? Please reply if you can. Thanks

try tightening your alternator drive belt first easier and that is usually what squeals. I don't believe its the pulley nut that makes the adjustment for the air conditioning either.
