Default turbo b16A2 engine rebuild

I have a 1999 usdm civic SI. I have 60 k miles on it. I was running 8lbs of boost on factory internals. Its a DRAG GEN III kit. I blew my piston rings in two cylinders. I need to rebuild and was thinking of going with JE forged pistons 9:1 compression and eagle rods. My goal is 12-15 lbs of boost. I would also get a blockguard. Do I need to re sleeve the block or anything else like that? Thanks for your help

I didn't know that those blocks were sleeved. Is this an OEM thing, or is it and aftermarket thing?

stock b16a2 blocks are not sleeved....and what kind of fuel management were you on when you blew up at 8 psi. That seems kind of low boost to detonate if you are well tuned.

You don't have to sleeve it unless you want to make lots, I mean lots, of power.

A local guy makes ~390whp on C1 stock sleeves. Runs high 10's in a stripped hatchback.

stock b16 do have sleeves, it's an open block. And for fuel management I had a vortech FMU and an extra fuel pump.
