On a 99-00 Civic, tha A Pillar extends quite a ways, I'm wondering how to take it off. Has it been glued to anything? should I just be able to pull it off?

I'm sure you can take it off, otherwise how'd you fit those gauge pillars.... In for the answer.

 

most people just stick the gauge pods onto the pillar, i wanna take the whole pillar off and mold the gauge pod right onto it...hmm...

 

It just pulls off. At least my 92 DX did. There's a small break in the panels so just the a-piller comes out. You have top pull the door weather stripping down too. Then just pull it out, metal clips behind it hold it in place. It'll pull out with some force.
