Yeah... While we are on this topic, what's the regular lifespan of the stock clutch? Also, what are the signs of a clutch going soon?

riding the clutch or repeatedly launching in vtec. Also power shifting etc, you know the usual dumb stuff.

I assume you have aftermarket clutch. What kind do you have?

Letting it out too slow or too fast and stuff like 2nd gear starts. Holding it in when not nessicary (slowing down, turning, or at stoplights) is not good for the system either.

It also really sucks when you don't break in your clutch properly, which will just cause it to slip in the first place. Steel- or lightened flywheels require much more time to break in a stock or organic friction type clutch than a regular flywheel. When you buy a car that's been driven by an old lady, suddenly driving it hard can also cause the clutch to slip due to glazing.

how much time should it take to break in a new clutch, say for instance, an aftermarket organic disc type?

Break-in? Clutch? Why and how?

I myself have never had to break in a clutch, because I have never owned a new car or had a clutch replaced. How long does it take, and what kind of special procedures are involved?
