Default oil pan gasket replacement

Hey all. I'm doing this for a friend, can anyone tell me if I have to drop the exhaust to replace the pan gasket on a 93 Del Sol? Just want to be prepared if I have to drop the pipe.

Thanks!

All you need to do is unbolt it from the head and you can lower it enough to get the pan out without taking it out.

correct.

You will have to lower the exhaust enough so that when you free the oil pan, it will clear the pick-up tube that is inside. A good 5-6 inches should work.

There will also be a dust shield on the trasnsmission side that will probably need moved out of the way.

Obviously, be sure to drain the oil first, or your gonna get really dirty!!
