What's a test pipe ??

 

a pipe that replaces the cat converter

 

it's a hollow pipe that replaces your cat...just straight through so you get better flow.

 

at the cost of extra noise and smell

 

don't kill the ozone anymore.....leave your stock cat or buy a racing cat-conv like a powercore or something.

 

i've got a straight pipe on my teg... WOOOOOOO 100 MORE HP! WOOOOOOOOOO!

 

basically its ghey and it smells really really bad even if your 3/4 throttle. don't even think of trying it, you'll regret it.

 

i've got a powercore race cat.....great quality. it's louder, but the car feels more responsiv(duh). but it's really nothing but a resonated test pipe. it's 100% straight through with baffles and i guess charcoal packing around the inside( but the inside 2 1/4" is completely hollow). i had to get an o2 sim. though.

 

I have a test pipe and its great for turbo cars. It doesnt smell that much, but is really loud. And if you use 550cc injectors you occasionally spit fire out your exhaust.
