Default Ouch, estimate on my car

$1408+ for initial reports. OH well, I don't care if it goes up more... I have a $500 deductable. Damn deer.

New:
bumper cover
Paint bumper cover
Spoiler, lower front
Brace, front bumper
holder, bulb
Parklamp assembly
Lamp assembly, fox
Panel assembly, Rad support - repair
Condenser, AC
Fender front, lite repair, paint
A/C rechard
Car cover exterior (proteect my car when its in the shop, its like $7
Flex agent
Hazardous waste

I'm gonna call my insurance company (USAA) and see if I can get some other work done on my car w/ the same deductable for some vandalism that occured when i first got the car. A USAA adjuster came out, looked at it, estimated $480 to fix it, i never had it fixed.. [think they will cover it?]

I highly doubt they will. USAA is pretty anal with their policies from what I hear (have friends covered by them). Hell, I have State Farm and they won't allow it, so....

Great insurance provider, tho :bigok: they're hq'd here in san antonio

come to think of it, I don't think any insurance provider would. especially if it's documented. but you can always say "oops, I forgot" if they call your bluff

Why not make the claim, take the cash, spend it on aftermarket parts (ie:jdm headlights/corners) or get all the parts from a junkyard, then take it to a shop, have them fix the bent radiator support, and have them paint it? You could save a ton of money, and might come out ahead. Hell, I already told you I'd sell you an AC compressor. I'd let it go for like 20 plus shipping...

The only problem is if they got in there and discovered more problems than in the estimate, and those would just be charged to the insurance if they took care of the claim, and not you...
