Default 2.2i DOHC VTEC

Wzup guyz...

What about a 2.2i dohc vtec swap from a '94 prelude?

How are the H22's in Civics..

What about the handling of the car..

Would it smoke a Civic w/b16 swap?

Sure. But to answer your question, a H22A has more power than a B16, but it does weigh more. It depends on the driver and the type of race/conditions to determine who will win. But with all things equal in a straight line a H22 swapped Civic would win, around a road course though it depends too much on the driver.

Yeah it does affect the handling, especially if you have the stock suspension. That's why I said on a road course it would be a different story.

you're gonna have to do some serious (pronounced:expensive) suspension work to make an H22 streetable. but with enough work it could handle fairly well. i'm still saving up for mine.

Don't you already have a B16 in your car? Swapping in an H22 is NOT a bolt on process like it is on a B16. You need mounts from hasport and some other junk.

And for the question would it smoke a B16 civic - in the strait line...lets see...200HP, 160lb tq vs 160HP, 110lb tq (approx). :dunno:

yeah a H22 would WASTE a b16 in a straight line race. You would need some stiffer spring rates in the front and you need the HAsport mount kit to make it drop in. Also the frame must be almost perfectly straight so if the car has been in a wreck it might not drop in. I can't remember but i think you have to take out the a/c and power steering to make it fit or you have to fabricate new places to mount everything if you wanna keep it. You have to make sacrifices but if you want the raw power then go for it.
