Default 16's or 17's?

what size rims should i get for my car? I said 17's to my friends and most of them said thats too big go to 16's but im afraid 16's might be too dinky you know? Oh yah i plan to lower my car about 2 inches so that might affect the look of the rims right? What should i get?

well i only got 16's and i think they look nice and they dont mess with your speed gauge just mount it with low pro tires and youll be fine also you dont loose a lot of power tryingh to spin those massive wheels i got 205/40/16 khumo tires

PS check out mine at the bottom:thumbup:

It is all personal preference.

17's will give a biut harsher ride. You could end up with some rubbing issues too

16's would be better if you want to do any racing.

16's would just look better. 17's would be bordering on rediculously-huge-for-a-car-that-size.

17's are a bitch to drive around in for a daily driver, imo.. my 17" rims rub like hell
16's are just right..

I know a 40 series tire is the tire you should get for a 16'' wheel, but the 45's fill the wheel well so much better. Too thin a tire looks retarded. The diameter will be larger than stock though.

how much will it throw off the gear ratio, because i'm 16 inch rotas here soon and i'm lookin at tires i would really like to have 45series tires instead of 40 but if its gonna affect it greatly i will not. oh another question i can get 205/40r16 falken azenis for 65 a tire new should i jump on it or do they wear extremely quickly?

they wear quickly, but IMO, the price + great performance make them well worth it.

also, i have 16's with 40 series and a 2.25in drop in front, 2 in back, they fit just fine and the overall diameter is like 1% IIRC smaller than stock

IMO, too small. It won't throw it off that much. Won't matter unless your racing anyways.
