Default HELP!!!--- need catback bolts

I am chaning my exhaust tomorrow. but I KNOW those 4 bolts holding up the cat heat shield won't come off easy. so I wanted to go buy new ones from the dealer and they said they were $3 each and that the nuts were welded into the top heat shield. top heat shield section is $33!!! wtf is with these prices. ANYONE have any other places to recommend OEM parts for hondas?

NOVA people... local would be best.

If all you want to do is replace the bolts, go to ACE hardware and hook it up!

well i can't really goto ace hardware and buy them
cuz i have no idea what size they are... thread etc...

so i broke down and went to the deal to buy them. the bolts are the size of the tip of my thumb real small 10mm or something. $3.02 a piece. the nuts are welded to the top heat shield so I bought that just in case i couldn't use the old one... $33. and while I was at it for shiits bought lower portion if i needed a new one of those $32. total $80 somthing... i was pissed but i'm doing it tomorrow nite and better safe than sorry with parts....

why are you dicking around with the heat sheilds anyway? Take em off, never worry about rattles, and MAYBE increase the temp being radiated from it by about 5 degrees. Whoopty doo! Rip the cover off and throw it away. EVERY honda of mine has gotten that treatment at one time or another.

i always saw it as something to keep a little less heat from entering the cabin. also, i think it is by law. cuz it can get really really hot.. hence firehazard to wahtever touches it.... thats what I always thought it did
