I never understood why people spend so much money on converting a car to look like another car. THe money spent doing so you could have bought that car. Talk about Ultimate Rice.

It does look nice though.

its not rice when you keep the conversion within your car family.

I live in Rochester NY (about 1 hour from Canada) and have loved the front end of the Acura EL for a while, what exactly do I need to do the front end conversion only? I have a 1998 Civic EX Coupe. I know hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, is that all? What about radiator support? Will the EL parts bolt up to my 2 door, I can't afford to get them custom fit? Also, any idea on the price of the parts? How much would you guess the painting would be too?

you dont need the rad support everything bolts right on. all you need is the hood, fenders, headlights, bumper and the grill. the paint should run maybe around 500-800 depending on where you go. the parts depend on new or used parts. there are alot of junkyards in canada that have all the parts you need. from searching the net, the total for all the parts you need that are used would be around 350-600 bux depending on where you get them

Looks better than an s14 conversion. Those things never end up having smooth lines...

Did they produce El's in 1996-1998? As far as I can tell they started in 1999. If so, would a 1999 front end fit on a 1998 Civic EX Coupe?

actually they started in 97. all the front ends for 96-00 civics are the same, so if the 97 el front can fit a 96 civic it will also fit a 99. but IMO the 97 EL was the nicest looking one. the newer ones look really gay.

they were started up here in canada in 1997... and yes, the 99EL front will fit on a 98 Civic coupe, because this is what we did to my buddy's civic...

yeah, I've ranted and raved about this. I really want to do the tail conversion, since I've always liked my dads AV6 sedan's tail end.

But I'd hate to see how much it'd cost shipped to texas And then painted

I'm content with my cars ass..... for now There will come a day....
