Another size that's also acceptable is 195/55 15.
do both of these = 205/45 16?

or just one or the other, or neither?

Stock sizes for Civics are:

185/65x14"
195/55x15"
205/45x16"

So the 205/50x15" are like .2" smaller than stock, which gives you better gearing, but your speedo is off by 1mph which is barely noticeable.

i must be the only one rolling the stock sized 195/55/15 tires!

kumho ecsta supra 712's in the stock size, didn't want that speedo/odo error so that when i sell my car (which is now!) my odo wouldn't be off..

I think he's saying that the 14's are the stockers and that he was giving the appropriate tire sizes if he decided to plus size. These would be the sizes that closely match to the OEM stock tire size.

its kinda an oddball size so manufacturers tend to charge more for them (since theyre made in fewer quantities). its the stock 99-00 si size, as well as the stock integ 15" size.

grab some azenis sport 205/50-15. auto-xers cant rave enough about them

Get some H&R sports, 1.8" front and 1.5" rear. You don't need a camber kit but if you want to adjust your camber for better camber (for more agressive driving) then you should get one.

Default 195/50/15

I just got some Goodyear F1's $72 each from tirerack. I was going to get 205's but the 195s were a lot cheaper because I think they were clearing them out. Very sticky tire. My 94 Si is stock. B4 I had Yoko Intermediate 195's. I went 195 because I read on some postings that 205's will rub (but I bet it's really minor). Alternatively, 205's would offer better curb protection though. I'd go for 205's next time if the price is right. Don't think grip will change much though (it's only 5% wider
