b16 thermostat question

I would not install an ECU that will allow your car to rev to 9200 RPM unless you have done some work to the bottom end of your engine i.e. rods, bearings, and fasteners.

Plus EBAY is teh suck. I wouldn't buy anything serious for your car off ebay.

at 9200 RPM I would be more worried about floating a valve than anything in the bottom end.

i bought a p30 from a guy and i put it in and it still wont start up, it turns over and the speeedo moves up and down ?

update- i reset the new ecu and after that it started up i hope it works, cause the first time i put it in i didnt reset it the new maybe thats why it didnt start

update- it died after i let it run for about 4 mins now wont start back up

There is a ground for the ECU, that actually bolts onto the thermostat housing, or next to it. Make sure that you didnt knock it loose when you were doing the thermostat. Try to see if you are getting fuel/spark etc.

i did notice the ground wire on the thermostat was loose and i touched it and the wire like dry rotted or something and it broke so im in the process of re wirein it after i get some electrical tape, i hope it works and i got a p30 unstead of the p06
