how does it sound? is it throaty or high pitch whinning?

Quite a few people have it as well.

It depends on what motor you have & what tranny (auto/manual)
It was decent for the money, but it kind of got too loud for everyday highway driving.

 

I just put one on about a month ago. It took a bit to break in sound-wise, and it definitely got louder. I love the deep throaty sound it has. Even at high RPMs, it still had a nice deep tone. The kit came with really nice mounting hardware; It bolted up beautifully. The Fireball and the Apexi N1 are both favorites of mine.

 

thanks guys for the post... i was looking into getting just the rear section for my sister. she has a 2000 ex as well. so since we are using the stock midpipe... i don't think the sound will get too loud.

 

not to put you guys down who have it, but i have heard it on an LS ingegra and it is the highest pitch buzzing sound i have ever heard i personally thing it sounds horrible. i have a tanabe Racing Medallion and it has a really low sound which i like better. so in my opinion id so dont get it. but whatever you want.

Mine was no where close to 'deep' or 'throaty'. It was just LOUD

 

All the Fireballs I've heard where loud and buzzy.....sounded like shit.
